Since 2015, the BMAB (the federal society for people with limb amputations) has been hosting the BMAB Youth Camp for children and teenagers with limb amputations and limb deformities.

The camp was the first of its kind in Germany, and focusses on helping the participating children discover their abilities and opportunities as someone with a disability, all within the framework of a supportive communtiy. For example, they can have a go at canooing, climbing in a high ropes course, diving or horseback riding.
Another component of the kids’ day-to-day community life at camp, which is at least as important, is the strengthening and promotion of acceptance, tolerance and cooperation.

In the summer of 2019 the camp took place for the sixth time, and the Wilhelm Julius Teufel GmbH is happy to have been one of the sponsors of this valuable project.
