There are many options for attaching a liner inside a socket. If you are looking for a safe method that is easy to use, even for users with limited manual abilities, a hook-and-loop lanyard system like the Coyote Lanyard is a great choice. The hook-and-loop strap is attached to the distal end of the liner instead of a pin, and threaded through the lanyard lock, which is positioned on the distal end of the socket. The user can then pull his residual limb into the socket using the hook-and-loop strap. A strap loop attached to the socket redirects the strap for this purpose.
The appeal of the Coyote Lanyard System lies in its robust design. In addition to this, it is available in two versions, one for laminating and one for thermoforming. It can be used both in test sockets and definitive sockets.
